LINKS

I check three news sites regularly. I like my.yahoo.com because it allows for a customized portal first page. I set all my browsers to open to my.yahoo.com. I have some stocks listed, science, technology and international news, and weather in places I like. Kuro5hin (corrosion) is a very democratic discussion site. Slashdot is very focussed on technology news with a large proportion of articles and discussion relating to open-source and intellectual property issues. Since I am a Canadian and I make my home there (even though I often work in the USA), I like to keep up on the news there. The Globe and Mail is Canada's oldest newspaper (I think) starting back in 1844. It often has a slightly different take on international issues than American media and of course it has many local interest pieces. And buzz.ca is a new discovery - a slashdot-like site dedicated to Canadian interest.

I am a big fan of Lego. One of my pet peeves is that many people when refering to Lego mistakenly say "Legos". <rant>THERE IS NO SUCH THING!!!</rant> There are Lego bricks or pieces, there are Lego sets, I have a large collection of Lego, and I play with Lego. So anyway, here are some sites I like which are related to Lego. Of course, the official corporate site is listed first.

I'm planning a collection of weird/funny stuff links. These links are definately worth spending a few hours with. Just as good as the funnier funnies.

Here are some links that have to do with social issues. I guess that I am pretty strongly anti-corporation, but I can also understand and acknowledge many of the positive aspects. One of my goals is to try to build a business that is much more human friendly.

And finally, here are links to web sites that my friends have made. Most of my friends with web sites live in Saskatoon. That's cause people there are cooler than people anywhere else...

Here's some interesting links related to science, standards and other geeky stuff.

There are a few other miscellaneous links I would like to add. First of all, links to the schools I went to: Brunskill, Greystone Heights, Aden Bowman Collegiate, University of Saskatchewan.
