A classic. I remember this story from my childhood. It somehow left an impression. My kids love it. My daughter insists that it be read about four times every night for months. Read it with a pint of blueberries.

The story of why Chinese people give their children short names. Two brothers, the eldest with a long and honourable name and the youngest with a short name which means nothing, fall into a well. Interesting illustrations. A bit of melody to the words occasionally. A classic. I remember this book from when I was a child. My kids enjoy this book.
