How do we know God?

Summary:

God is unknowable.
We gain knowledge of God through knowledge of the Manifestations of God.

Related Writings: (Writings in bold are good for memorizing)

"The Knowledge of the Reality of the Divinity is impossible and unattainable, but the knowledge of the Manifestations of God is the knowledge of God, for the bounties, splendors and divine attributes are apparent in Them. Therefore, if man attains to the knowledge of the Manifestations of God, he will attain to the knowledge of God."
-`Abdu'l-Baha

"Turn thy sight unto thyself, that thou mayest find Me standing within thee, mighty, powerful and self-subsisting." -Baha'u'llah

Ideas:

Read to your children age-appropriate stories about the Manifestations of God and their lives. (A list of some of the Manifestations of God: Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Christ, Mohammad, The Bab, Baha'u'llah.)
